In this month’s Imbibe magazine, a team of intrepid bartenders reveal the results of their search for the Holy Grail of Martini – and Hepple Gin was one of the 10 they put to the test. We created Hepple to make the perfect Martini gin and it’s good to see a line-up of professionals rate it so highly.

The panel. . .

. . . comprised Tom Byrne, Charlotte’s Bistro; Rudi Carraro, consultant; Clinton Cawood, Imbibe; Rusty Cerven, The Gibson; Steve Lawson, MASH; Richard O’Brien, Original Sin; Alessandro Rocci, Whistling Shop; and Christina Schneider, Som Saa. They tasted 10 gins tasted neat, before being made into a Martini using a 5:1 ratio with Noilly Prat Original Dry, and no garnish.

The Results . . .

. . . they describe Hepple Gin as “probably the best Martini of the day”. The judges go on to say “clean, incisive, complex and mouth-watering. Everything you want in a Martini.”
